A BOUT : Be bold! Vladimir in Panama has no shortage of flair, and Jason Nitsch' s combination of Latin styles and Russian themes throughout the band is sure to keep your ensemble invested! FROM THE COMPOSER:

This piece was composed for the Klein Collins High School (Spring, TX)
Symphonic Band in 2013, and was premiered that year with the composer conducting.
I wanted to write a little bi t of a tongue-in-cheek march that had a contrasting heavy and light side to the thematic material. The result was Vladimir, and I conceived of it as a big burly Russian hanging out on the festive streets of Panama. What would that sound like, and how would the heavy sounds of
Vladimir contrast with the busy active streets of the city. That perspective also allowed for the addition of lots of percussion elements, which can be added to
