The piece utilizes changing moods, harmonizations, and styles to follow the Church (and all those who have ever met to worship) through the ages before a final verse in a sprightly 6/8 ushers us into the modern day and looks forward to all those who will worship in the future. A fitting choice for any worship or concert setting.
