Eight familiar evening hymns provided the impetus for this collection of organ settings by Alfred Fedak. In addition to being useful as voluntaries for evening services of prayer (such as Evensong of Compline), a number of these hymns are frequently sung at funerals given the frequent poetic connection between the “end of day” and the “end of life.”_x000D_
