The final movement of John Rutter's "Magnificat" inspired Keith Allen, Conductor of the Birmingham Symphonic Winds (UK) to suggest it as a perfect candidate for a Concert Band piece. With approval from John Rutter, this setting captures his inspiration of the "jubilant celebrations of Mary in Hispanic cultures" and he conceived the work as a "bright Latin-flavoured fiesta". This arrangement is for band alone, and does not contain the choral score. It differs from Magnificat 7: Gloria Patri in that the arrangement is lowered by one-step to present it in a 'more friendly' band key.
