Frederic Berr (1794-1838), was a German bassoonist and pedagog who spent most of his professional career in Paris. His Fantasia based on the aria "Una Voce poco fa" from Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville. This work was transcribed for Benjamin Coelho by Kevin Kastens. Kastens is Associate Director of Bands at the University of Iowa. The recording has been done by the University of Iowa Concert Band, Kevin Kastens, conductor, Benjamin Coelho, bassoon. Grade 6 Bassoon solo, Grade 4 band.
