Born in Montevideo, guitarist, composer and teacher Abel Carlevaro (1916-2001), who always lived in Uruguay, was one of the most important figures in the history of the guitar, because he revolutionized the art of guitar playing and his pedagogy created a completely own school. “Milonga Oriental” is a charming and very catchy milonga from the East of Uruguay and a later work by Carlevaro.
