Lazare Levy (1882-1964) was a French virtuoso pianist and composer. He was born in Belgium to French parents, but studied Piano, counterpoint and harmony at the Paris Conservatoire. He later became a Professor there, where he taught many famous musicians including John Cage, Marcel Dupre, Henri Betti and Solomon.
