This original setting of the traditional Swedish psalm features accessible writing, warm, sweeping lines, and rich harmonies that will immerse both audiences and singers into the stunning - yet fleeting - Scandinavian summer landscape.

The original text was written in German by Paul Gerhardt in 1653, "Geh aus, mein Herz, und suche Freud" ("Go forth, my heart, and seek delight"). Joachin von Düben wrote the more popular Swedish translation, and Catherine Winkler wrote the English translation. The music can be sung in any of the three languages.
