Daisuke EHARA

This piece was inspired by the traditional Hida festive hymn "Medeta." In this composition, I have attempted to capture my impression of Hida-Takayama during my visit, as well as the area's townscape, nature, and the dynamism of its festivals.

The entire piece is divided into three movements, and its music seeks to convey a variety of different emotions as it unfolds.

The first movement, "Tradition and creativity," takes the motifs of the festive hymn and combines these elements in a contrasting manner to build a frenetic pace.

The second movement, "Nature," conjures an ethereal atmosphere and simulates the sound of the sho in the layering of chords. The result is gentle music that evokes a fleeting sense of nostalgia.

The third movement, "Soul," features elements reminiscent of festivals along with the motifs of the festive hymn to express the hustle and bustle, exuberance, and dynamism. The music then intensifies and takes shape as a "soul" before finally bursting into flames with the festive hymn.PLEASE NOTE - This item is sold on a rental basis.
