"Rip Van Winkle" is a short story by the American author Washington Irving. Rip Van Winkle is also the name of the Dutch-American protagonist of the story.
It is widely thought that Irving based the story on a German folktale, and based on the fact that the protagonist thinks no time has passed at all, even though a lot of time had suddenly passed in the real world, it is apparently also called the American version of the Japanese tale "Urashima Taro."
This piece, which flows from fast to slow to fast, was written with an endearing melody and harmony.
Since I wrote this piece to be suitable for various types of ensembles, by all means, I hope that it is played by as many people as possible.PLEASE NOTE - This item is sold on a rental basis.
