Charles E. Duble, Edited by Timothy Rhea
Duble dedicated The Circus King March “to my friend Jack Phillips, Musical Director, John H. Sparks’ Shows.” In 1916, when he composed this march, Duble was playing trombone in the Sparks’ Shows Band. During his twenty-three years of trouping he performed with at least eight circus bands.
